"Home" Salmon Print

from $30.00

I created "Home" with indigo & a Japanese-inspired color palette, using watercolor on wood. I have always been inspired by the Japanese and by their spiritual connection with nature and art, as with the native cultures of our region. This piece is a reflection on my connection with my home in the Pacific Northwest, and with salmon.

Salmon are the lifeblood of our region. For centuries they have swam through the streams and rivers to the indigo waters of the Pacific only to complete a giant circle that completes their lifespan in the spawning grounds of their birth. The more I learn about (wild) salmon, the more I am fascinated by their resilience and determination to return home.

Printed using high-quality inks on Moab Lasal Photo Matte, an archival fine art paper with a smooth surface, this heavy weight (230 g, 9.5-mil), neutral white, acid-free paper was engineered for accurate color reproduction that provides high contrast and high-resolution output.

The image size is 8 x 8” with an additional 1/2” border for easy framing.
